Finally, miraculously, Washington seems to be coming together… for one of those brief moments in time… to determine whether or not China created the coronavirus at its lab in Wuhan.
You see, COVID-19’s origin is not quite as neat and clean as elite corporate media, Big Tech, and Leftists politicians wanted us to originally believe.
Indeed, as I suspected and have reported, the truth about where and how COVID started may be far more complicated than China and everyone else ever wanted us to believe.
The consequences to the world could be staggering…
The World Deserves the Truth on COVID’s Origins
At present, there is a bipartisan effort to demand accountability from China. House Democrats and Republicans have come together for two bipartisan bills.
The first, introduced by five Democrats and five Republicans, is called the “Made in America Emergency Preparedness Act,” and it would establish a 9/11-style commission to investigate how the pandemic began.
The second bill would enable families of COVID-19 victims to sue China (or any other country) that “intentionally misled the international community on the outbreak.” Named the “Never Again International Outbreak Prevention Act,” it would strip China of its sovereign immunity.
Meanwhile, the Senate unanimously approved a measure requiring the federal government to declassify intelligence on the origins of COVID-19. And President Biden recently ordered all U.S. spy agencies to get to work and report back in 90 days on any findings of how the virus started.
And, per the White House’s deputy spokesperson, the intelligence community is not ruling out the possibility that China might have deliberately released the virus into the world.
The Administration’s 180 on Wuhan
Less than two weeks ago, talking about how coronavirus may have been created at the Wuhan Institute of Virology was deemed conspiratorial. It was off-limits… and would land you in “Facebook Jail” as a publisher (meaning you could be shadow banned and demonetized or even suspended).
Last April, media commentators spoke to how “irresponsible” Donald Trump was for saying he had seen intelligence that indicated the virus was created at the Wuhan lab. They repeatedly accused him of trying to find a scapegoat.
Then, when Joe Biden took over the oval office in January of 2021, he abruptly shut down the state department’s investigation into the origins of coronavirus.
What changed? Why return to the investigation now?
The administration has repeatedly been asked this question at press briefings and has offered no explanation.
But I suspect it may have something to do with a Wall Street Journal report last week revealing some previously undisclosed U.S. intelligence… Three employees at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell so ill (with symptoms consistent with COVID) that they were hospitalized in November 2019.
China has repeatedly denied the World Health Organization (“WHO”) access to its records in the lab… and the WHO, instead of insisting on gaining information, allowed China a pass… echoing the same line that the Left and mainstream-media outlets employed for so long – that the virus originated in a wet market. End. Of. Story.
Even Dr. Anthony Fauci seemed to be carrying China’s water on this one… telling National Geographic in a splashy article last year that the science indicated the virus came from a wet market.

The U.S. Funded Coronavirus Research in Wuhan
Of course, at the time, Fauci never told us about the connection between the National Institutes of Health (“NIH”) – the organization he ran – and the money it donated to EcoHealth Alliance, which provided funds for specifically the study of coronavirus research in bats. It wasn’t until Senator Rand Paul addressed the issue in recent hearings that the information became known.
Meanwhile, a bombshell report last week raised even more questions about Fauci’s lack of transparency throughout this pandemic.
Fauci wrote a paper in 2012 in which he argued that conducting experiments on contagious viruses was worth the risk, even if the work and experiments accidentally led to a pandemic.
Writing about gain-of-function experiments in the “American Society for Microbiology,” Fauci explained how these experiments could manipulate viruses and make them stronger… and that the research was still worth it even if it resulted in a pandemic.
“Many ask…” he wrote, “Given the possibility of such a scenario – however remote – should the initial experiments have been performed and/or published in the first place, and what were the processes involved in this decision? Scientists working in this field might say – as indeed I have said – that the benefits of such experiments and the resulting knowledge outweigh the risks.”
He also wrote that it was “more likely” that a pandemic would occur naturally and “the need to stay ahead of such a threat is a primary reason for performing an experiment that might appear to be risky.”
Now that we know the NIH provided money to Wuhan, via EcoHealth, for this gain-of-function research into bat coronaviruses, I have two questions:
- Why didn’t Fauci tell us this initially?
- And why was our NIH helping to fund this research in, of all places, China?
We’re not even comfortable with pet food from China given all the past issues – let alone research into deadly viruses!
We. Should. Have. Known. Better.
China TV Report Showcased Dangers of Wuhan Lab
Not only should we have known better, but there was already readily available information about the dangers of the Wuhan lab.
In fact, judging by a CCP China TV report that aired on December 29, 2017 – two years before the COVID-19 outbreak – the Wuhan lab clearly lacked the proper safety procedures.
Taiwan News recently recovered the tape from the story which Chinese state media ran in an effort to showcase how courageous Shi Shengli (known as “Bat Woman”) and her team of scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology were in their quest to discover the origins of SARS.
In the video, scientists are shown without proper protective gear… One scientist is shown holding a bat with bare hands. Others are filmed collecting potentially highly infectious bat feces while wearing short sleeves and shorts and with no noticeable personal protective equipment other than gloves.
And in yet another section of the video, a virus expert named Cui Jie talked about how a bat’s fangs once went right through his glove, describing it as feeling “like being jabbed with a needle.”
Scientists also admitted getting spattered with blood during the research.
Why on Earth were we helping this team of scientists with $600,000 of U.S.-taxpayer money?!
New Study Claims ‘Proof’ That China Created COVID-19 in Lab
Amid this backdrop, an explosive new study claims to have proof that Chinese scientists created COVID-19 in a lab… and then tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.
The Daily Mail obtained an exclusive copy of the study set to be published in the “Quarterly Review of Biophysics Discovery” by British Professor Angus Dalgleish and Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen. They claim they have had this primary evidence “of retro-engineering in China” since last year but were ignored by academics and major medical journals.
The study indicates that researchers found “unique fingerprints” in COVID-19 samples that could only have been developed from manipulation in a laboratory setting.
According to Dalgleish, “The laws of physics mean that you cannot have four positively charged amino acids in a row. The only way you can get this is if you artificially manufacture it.”
In addition, the study reports that “a natural virus pandemic would be expected to mutate gradually and become more infectious but less pathogenic, which is what many expected with the COVID-19 pandemic, but which does not appear to have happened.”
I know this is a lot to process… And it’s all quite sudden. Personally, I’m thrilled that Washington is finally coming together to get to the bottom of what happened. But the question now is what do we do with the information?
The world is changing at such a rapid pace. But the answer is never to stick our heads in the sand and pretend such things don’t or can’t happen.
Facebook recently said it will allow reports about the possibility of COVID originating at the Wuhan lab to grace its platform… We’ve lost more than a year of intelligence gathering and real reporting thanks to the desire by some to shut out the truth. Let’s not lose any more time.
The world deserves the truth.

In our February American Consequences magazine, best-selling author Gordon Chang wrote a fantastic deep-dive piece about all the damning evidence that underscores China’s deceptive role in the pandemic.
Episode Highlights
- Rush Limbaugh was the general of the conservative media movement… His opening monologue set the tone for the Right’s agenda and had the potency to change the direction of the nation’s political discourse.
- Rush may be gone, but his influence remains… Buck details Rush’s impact as a First Amendment advocate and how he plans to continue championing free speech as his new talk show steps into his hero’s former time slot.
- For the corporate media in 2020, their strategy was clear – whatever Trump said, they would go the other way. Undermining the former president was more critical to them than getting the facts right during the COVID crisis.
- Facing Big Tech with a DNC-editorial slant, Conservatives don’t have to make another Internet or beat Facebook – they only need viable alternatives in the digital platform space. So think beyond Parler or Rumble.
- There’s a futility in tweeting about the injustices of Twitter on Twitter, as you’re still beholden to them – like trying to bite the hand that feeds you while clenched in their fist.
- The GOP’s midterm strategy in 2022 needs to rest on promoting state-driven successes, i.e., highlighting how Texas and Florida have relatively thrived during the pandemic while many Blue states have floundered.
